During the normal off seasons I don't see many of our FTS racers, other than my neighbors and the ones who live within 10 minutes of my home. (Nick Brown, Shane Walker, Lee Patton, Jeremy Leedy, Robbie Riehn and Thomas Willett) But less than a month after the Spooky 50, I've had the pleasure of running into several others that I normally wouldn't get the chance to see anywhere other than the track. Wal-Mart Supercenter in Ruston seems to be the place to be theses days since I keep running into drivers each time I go there. Then this weekend I went to Bonnie and Clyde Trade Days in Arcadia and after a brief time of walking around I came across Raymond Taylor and Miss Nancy, who are always a joy to chat with! Several hundred steps later, along comes part of the Heath Redden family from Farmerville, then not long afterward I ran into Andy Johnson's (Modified 8A) wife and found out that we share a very dear friend and all these years of being at the track never knew we both had the same friend!!!!
Regular emails from Kandi Mullins and Angie Kelly remind me of how wonderful my "racing family" actually is, and just what I would be missing without each of you in my life. This is a small world we live in, and though we don't see each other much when we aren't racing I would like you all to know that you are all still in my thoughts and I look forward to seeing each of you next season.
May each of you have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving Holiday. Be careful as you travel to be with family and friends, and I wish you all a safe return home.
