It is my understanding that, according to a family member there is no effidence of heart attack ,but he was on life support, but has been taken off and did not make it. We are so sorry for an end for a wonderful man and driver. Our sincere condolences to the family .

I just got off the phone with a close and true friend to Kenneth and the Mitcham family. It has been confirmed that the racing society that we have grown to know and love so well has suffered a tragic loss today, April 29, 2007.
Kenneth Mitcham will forever remain in the hearts of many, many racers and fans. He is now racing among other racers we have lost such as Jimmy Gray, Wayne Patton, Jimmy Adams and many others.
To the Mitcham family, I express my most sincere condolences to each of you. My heart aches for each of you. Racing has lost a great driver, but you have lost so much more. Kenneth was and always will be a wonderful man. Thank you for all the memorable moments.
