Re: crate racing
Jay Blair losing his SUPR ride had nothing to do with his driving skills, he was caught cheating on his wife, and his father-in-law just happened to be his car owner. Some people just won't allow other people to get along with them wether it's in racing or in life in general. I feel you might want to argue about anything so argue by yourself.

Re: crate racing
No you read right i dont have a car of my own but i have been around the sport for a long time in alot of classes.  I have helped out alot of different drivers and know alot of them really well.  Im not trying to argue about anything just trying to make a point here that if you want to run with the crate class Monticello, Arkansas as well as Baton Rouge are running them on a weekly basis.  Chatham runs the regular late model class and have had crates run against them in the same race not a seperate class.  We dont need a crate class here as well as Monticello running them as that would cause problems with car counts.  If you came here last year you would have seen how bad it hurt us here and I as well as alot of other people dont want to see that happen, we have a good track here and would hate to see anything happen to it.

Re: crate racing

My son started his racing career  at Fast Trax Speedway and personally, I love that place. But the fact is , late model racing as everybody around hear knows it is dying. Because of over priced engines, big tire bills, high fuel costs and many other factors.Crate racing has not hurt the car count at any tracks that they race at, in fact, they have increased. The rich car owners that are going to run super late model still do, they just usually also have a crate car too. The car owners that can't afford all that constant expense of super late model racing usually fill up the pits  with crate cars, which mean higher car counts, not less.We raced in SUPR for a while then just raced local late model races and found that that almost as expensive except for the traveling expenses. When we went to the StormPay crate series we found it most competitive than ever, and the speeds were just as fast. The whole key to these cars is momentum. The guys that came to Fast Trax last year must not have had much experience with these cars. We have several of our top drivers willing to come and put on a Crate Late Model / SUPR Late Model challange race this year to prove to the nay-sayers that these cars are as competitive as most any late models in our area. You will find it is very easy to get in touch with me , we will be waiting on the reply that you send me. This not an ugly or bold confritation, but a friendly jesture to show the fans that we are for real.

Re: crate racing
What is all the arguing about. I am not going to argue, just state facts. If the crates or competitive why argue, Why change the rules to outlaw thousands of $ worth of equipment just so thousand of more $ has to be spent just to be legal. A large portion of money spent on motors is dependability. We have been on both sides of the fence. For years we though we couldn't aford a profesionaly built motor but we were wrong, it was the chepest thing we ever bought. We ran that motor for 10 years with just an ocational freshon, then traded it on a supr speck motor and have run it for 5 years freshing it every outher year and now you want us to junk it. You say that crates are competitive anyway, so why change the rules. Come race it and win because it is legal already. We were on the crate level for years and never complaned and don't want to go back. The chepest thing you can buy for dependability is a dry sump," not allowed" You can't even remove the oil pan for improvements. You can't rebuild  it yourself because if you could you could start changing things. you have to hire someone that is arthurised to do so, $ go up. Well I could talk all day but there is no argument. just facts. Do what you have to do but put in a crate and race because it ia competitive without a specific rule.
