Re: Sport Mod Independence Shootout

As promised, here are the remaining details regarding this race. If you have any further questions please post them here for answers.

The Line up for Heats will be determined by a Pill Draw. Depending on the number of cars in this class, the A-Main Feature line up will be determined by the top 3 or 4 cars in each Heat. Remaining cars will either advance to the B-Main or a conscelation. The Top 12 cars in the A-Main line up will "redraw". The remainder of the field will line-up according to their finishing positions in the Heats. This is what was suggested by IMCA Officials, and approved by Billy Bagwell.

There may be Conscelations, depending on the total number of cars in the Sport Mod class for this event.

Re: Sport Mod Independence Shootout
Sorry folks.... Mother Nature has struck once again. BUT this race has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 14th. All information remains the same as previously posted. There has been a great deal of rain dropped all across North Louisiana the past few days, and it continues to fall. Just be thankful we aren't in the same situation that so many people in Texas and Oklahoma are faced with.

Re: Sport Mod Independence Shootout
is it required to have your imca liscense for this race. i know vivian farmerville greenville is not sanctioned and if any of those came over and other places would have an extra 90 dollars to spend . unless they take the sanction off for the race . am i correct on this point ? that would sure hamper getting that many cars from other areas. ........scott

Re: Sport Mod Independence Shootout

As per IMCA Officials.......

If drivers entering this event do not have their IMCA license, they can fill out the form at the track and pay the $90. As for taking the sanction off for this race, we are not allowed to do that.

I called IMCA for official answers to your questions, and I understand what you are asking. But at the same time, I hope you understand that this is the way it has to be done according to IMCA rules.
