FASTTRAX SPEEDWAY TRACK RULES
Updated 02/28/2007 Rev. 1.0.3
The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of or compliance with these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.
Registration
1. Car numbers will be registered on a first come first serve basis, unless your information is in the FTS database to date.
2. It will be the responsibility of all drivers to sign in, pay entry fees ( any and all fees will be collected at the pit gate) AND DRAW for heat races at the FastTrax Registration Booth.
3. No two cars, within the same class, will have the same number. Any car registering with the same number as one previously registered must add a letter or other number to the front or back of their original number.
4. All drivers must complete a Driver Information sheet (unless your information is already listed within the FTS database) with necessary information provided for tax purposes and if this information is not complete (including social security numbers), the driver will not collect any payout until all information is collected.
Collecting Pay
1. The driver or owner must collect winnings at the designated Pay Window at the end of each race night. (Drawing & Registration Booth)
2. Winnings not collected within two (2) weeks of race night will be forfeited. Winnings will not be mailed.
3. Under no circumstances will FastTrax Officials collect any prize monies on behalf of drivers or teams.
Flag Rules
1. All drivers must understand Flags and what they represent. Failure to obey Flags will result in disqualification for that race. Failure to see Flag will not be considered an excuse. Flagman has complete control of cars while the Race is going on. HIS DECISION IS FINAL!
A. If the "YELLOW" flag comes out prior to completion of the First Lap, there will be a complete Restart.
B. If a lap has been completed and the "CAUTION (Yellow Flag, Red Flag,)" comes out, Cars will restart single file.
C. All cars will be lined up on restarts using the last completed lap order.
D. If a car drops out of the race, the cars directly behind will be moved up accordingly. No Criss-Crossing.
E. If the "RED" Flag is thrown, all cars must come to a complete stop on the track. Any car not stopping will be disqualified. Drivers must stay in car, unless a FTS Track Official instructs otherwise. No adjusting on car, unless a FTS Track Official instructs otherwise.
F. No car will be allowed to leave the track under "RED" Flag conditions during the Heat or Feature Races.
G. Any car leaving the track under "YELLOW" Flag conditions during the Heat Race will not be allowed back on the track for that race.
H. The "BLACK" Flag means to get off the track immediately. There will be no disputing the "BLACK" Flag. If you ignore the "BLACK" Flag, you will be disqualified for the entire night. If you are "Black Flagged" for rough driving or Unsportsmanlike conduct in the Feature Race, you will be issued zero points and corresponding purse.
I. Driver must remain in car while under "YELLOW" or "RED" flag conditions, unless a FTS Track Official instructs otherwise. If the driver exits the vehicle at any time, other than for safety concerns, the driver will be out of the race.
J. A driver who has been disqualified from the "TECH" area will not receive any pay or points for the night.
YELLOW FLAG
Flagman/Track officials will use the yellow flag, as set forth in this section, for the purpose of providing drivers with information. A driver is deemed to have received notice of yellow flag/lights when the flag is raised above the top railing of the flag stand and/or the yellow lights are in action, regardless of whether or not the driver has seen the flag/lights.
The yellow flag signifies caution. All cars receiving yellow flag/lights shall slow down to a cautious pace, hold their position, and form a single line behind the lead car. The line-up and restart procedure will revert back to the last completed green flag lap. Track officials have complete discretion to determine the positions of the cars at the time the yellow flag was displayed and to reposition cars in accordance with their determination.
Those cars not driving immediately to the starting line shall be considered to have been involved, and will be sent to the rear of the lap they are running in. Interpretation of the words “involved” and “immediately” shall be left to the discretion of the Flagman/Track Officials.
Any car(s) causes a race to be stopped, such as a spin out or car stopping out of control, shall be considered as involved in an accident/caution.
The decision of who is involved in the caution will be made by the Flagman and/or Track Official and will not be subject to review or reversal. Any driver or crew member coming to the press box during a race to argue such a call will be disqualified from all events that night including events that have already been completed. (The FTS Scoring team has nothing to do with any calls made on or off the track at anytime) Driver will receive no pay or points for any event that night. All event calls must be taken to the Track Steward for discussion.
Special Event Races
Any car that leaves the track under caution will be placed at the rear of the field regardless of laps completed. Cars returning to the race track from the pits or from leaving the track while the yellow flag is out must wait for the signal from the track official to reenter the race. When entering the track, the car will start at the rear of the field down any completed laps by the current field event. If the green flag/lights have been placed in action while a car is off the track, no car can return to the track until the yellow flag/lights are placed in action. These car(s) will be placed at the rear with the total number of scored laps down.
Any car(s) that causes the race to be stopped two times will be sent to the pits for the remainder of the event and will not be allowed to reenter the race.
